Youghal’s Bun Scoil Mhuire Choir have teamed up with an ensemble group of musicians calling themselves the Homebirds Music Festival Band A.K.A The HomeBirds Bands to record a fantastic version of the Bruno Mars classic Count on me.
Recorded by Warren Tivy at Claycastle Recording studio and featuring vocal contributions from some of East Corks leading vocalists and musicians including Leah Ahern, Sinead McCarthy, Caroline Fraher, Jordan Kay ,Colin Lee , Derek Hyland and Ruari de Leaster . Leo Mullane features on Vocals and Guitar, Melanie de la Cour on Percussion and Warren Tivy on Bass and Keyboards .
This catchy upbeat number is the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of Summer and showcases the unique musical talent that we have in the fantastic town of Youghal. The HomeBirds Music festival runs this year from the 17th to the 19th of May and was launched last year to celebrate local musicians in Youghal and East Cork and this track is the perfect way to showcase the fantastic talent that exists in the region.
With an accompanying video produced by Bun Scoil Teacher Alan White which shines a light on Autism All proceeds from the single will go towards Peer Support Group Parents Together in Autism and the Autistic Units in Bun Scoil Mhuire in Youghal The Síolta Beaga.
